Cala Violina is located within a nature reserve called Bandite di Scarlino.
It is, therefore, a protected area where flora and fauna are preserved. For this reason, it gives those who decide to stop a unique and, at times, primordial experience. There are no bathing establishments or restaurants in this area, so it is good to be organized for lunch.
The name is because trampling on the sand; you hear a very particular, almost musical noise. The sand is very fine and white and consists mainly of quartz. The area is situated between two headlands; precisely, for this reason, it is surrounded by greenery.
The contrast between the greenery and the warmth of the sand makes it a wonderful area with a very pleasant climate. It can be reached by car; in this case, the parking is still about 1.5 km from the beach.
It is necessary to practice a walking path along a path; the same is shaded and therefore very pleasant, in short, you do not feel hot, to be able to find a place, it is still recommended to start early in the morning. The route is slightly bumpy, and therefore, it is good to arm yourself with comfortable shoes, but above all, it can be difficult to get there having strollers in tow. The alternative is to arrive by bike through a path where there are still indications to easily reach the cove.
